Hail to the Chief

the United States of America elected the son of a 'slave' to become their President.

we in Malaysia are still being labeled as 'pendatangs', 'non-bumis', kafirs, etc
and still continue to be denied of equal treatment in employment, governance, education, housing, & judiciary.

wawasan 2020 would be all but an empty shell of make-beliefs.

Chiang Mai - part 2

kalare night bazaar!!!

petaling street!!! only with less aggressive street peddlers. and a lot more cleaner.
really, chiangmai is a clean city. i arrived half expecting a slump of place, oh how wrong i was!!!
this place is clean!!! the streets are clean...the public toilets are clean...

took this stupid tuk-tuk from my inn to the bazaar.
this little prick here overcharged me by 100%. so, remember the back of this seat, if the next tuk-tuk that you take resembles this, please whack the guy on the head for me.

there's a food court somewhere at the background of this photo.
quite a lot of food are available at a very reasonable price.
with names and photos and the prices of what the stall offers displayed prominently in english, this place is very tourist-friendly.

kaosoi - chiangmai's speciality (rm3.5-4.0)
tastes like curry mee

kaosoi according to wikitravel, is a local speciality. it comes in either chicken or beef curry over locally made yellow wheat noodles.
eeerr..honestly, nothing to shout about. i think our curries taste better.

pork-knuckle rice - one of my all time favorite thai dish (rm4.00)

ok, i've savored better tasting pork-knuckle rice in dannok (malaysia-thai border town). but this one here will just about make it to being labeled as "nice".
girls might not be able to fully enjoy the true essence of this wonderful dish, as this dish here is basically a huge chunk of fatty pork leg. you want to savor the true flavor? eat with the fats.

orange juice (rm2.00 per 500ml bottle)

this happens to be my most favorite drink in chiang mai! its sweet, its zesty, its refreshing, and i reckon its healthy!!!!
rotee stand

the thais (or at least chiangmai-ese) love their roti, particularly roti pisang. these stalls are everywhere!!!

the food here in chiangmai was kinda disappointing, i was hoping to try out more of the local specialty cuisines, but despite my best efforts, there's not much variations to the offerings from their southern counterparts. or maybe its just that i didnt try harder.....

anyway......in part 3, THE OUTBACK!!!!!

stay tuned...

donation drive for SRJK (C) PUMPONG, Alor Star, Kedah, Malaysia

a small chinese primary school at the edge of Alor Star City, Kedah.

SRJK (C) Pumpong

i was a student of this school from 1988-1993.
i love this school, and i love the memories she has brought to my life.

the teachers that taught me were the greatest.
the canteen served some the most memorable food i've ever had!!! seriously,
i swear i could still remember how the nasi lemak tastes like,
the lor mee, and this special sotong+rice in assam broth dish....

and how i was class monitor for the whole 6 years i was there!!!

SRJK (C) Pumpong has always been close to my heart, ever since i left her in 1994.

here comes the sad part......

She was pronounced unsafe for inhabitants in 2006 for being in a critical stage of termite infestation.
the whole school was promptly evicted,
and she was left to decay.

a foster school was hastily identified,
and the entire school population is temporarily occupying a 4-storey block of a wawasan-school.
optimizing the single block that is allocated to her,
media room, bilik sumber, computer room, etc have to be sacrificed to be classrooms to accommodate the students.

despite all the setbacks and difficulties from the eviction.......
education never stops in pumpong.....
(and will never stop!!!)

RM3.5million is desperately needed for the construction of the New Pumpong.
a suitable piece of land has already been acquired to build the new 24-classrooms Pumpong!!
so the citizens of Pumpong can have a new place to call home.
and quality Pumpong education can be resumed!!!

months of hard work and perseverance from the teachers and management of Pumpong have brought in a donated sum of RM1.0million.
education department+MCA have pledged a combined amount of *RM500K.
and an upcoming charity-concert is expected to rake in *RM1.5million.
(*with fingers crossed)

still some distance to cover of what is actually needed.

my dear friends, my dear readers from all over malaysia and the world.

i will not ask for DONATION from you if this is not something very close to my heart.
but the very survival of my alma mater is in doubt here.
and i'd pledged to do all that is within my capability to make sure SRJK (C) Pumpong will finally see it through her current distress, and have a new place to call home.

Should you feel like donating any amount, any sincere amount at all, please find the details at the bottom of this post. Otherwise, please help by spreading the word around your community, that SRJK(C) Pumpong lives.

Malaysiakini - 15th September 2008

____________________________________________________________________

now listen to the new budding asshole talk. now this mutha, abdul rahman nasir says he supports the detention of YB Teresa under ISA.

hey abdul rahman nasir, what did YB Teresa do to warrant a detention under ISA??

"Abdul Rahman bagaimanapun enggan memberikan komen lanjut berkenaan isu itu kerana pihaknya cuma sebagai penerima petisyen dan tidak tahu-menahu tentang perkara lain di sebalik isu itu. "

you dont even know who is behind the whole petition against-the-masjid!!!!!! and you stand proud amongst your misleaded peers to condemn YB Teresa to ISA detention???? what if YB Teresa is innocent??? then will all of you pea-brains go to hell for it? its a BIG no-no in Islam to wrongly accuse and punish an innocent person, you know? you should know better coz i am a non-muslim.

you speak like a religious fanatic, why dont you go check yourself in the nearest lockup, and let the police put you on death row, just in case.

_____________________________________________________________

the police made a statement recently to clarify their recent actions of invoking the ISA almost at will against civilians.

"Ismail explained that the decision to use the security law, which provides detention without trial, was based on intelligence and observation that certain acts by the individuals concerned were detrimental to the well-being of the nation."

let me get this straight, the well-being of the nation is at stakes because RPK accuses some VVVIPs of committing crimes? without clearing the accusations of the alleged criminal behavior of our VVVIPs, you silence the person(s) who reported it. very just mr policemen.

".....be afraid, be very afraid...."

an ultra racist bugger ahmaid ismail, openly declared that Chinese are immigrants unworthy of citizenship in this country. *1st red flag*.
"...i catch all china dolls in penang then you know..."

then he warned Chinese not to emulate the Jews with wishful thinking of conquering the country *2nd red flag*, and consider this threat the last warning from his race. *3rd red flag*.
"... i hate jews for developing windows vista i tell you..."

he then refused to tone down his racial outburst against Chinese, and pledged to run around malaysia spreading his ideology so that all malaysians would regard Chinese as immigrants and should have no equal rights to survive in this country. *4th red flag*.

"i bring my macaque to KL and let him tear ongkating's portrait then you know..."

during one of his press conferences, he brought a macaque from the botanical garden of penang (this one pretty feisty...i hope he's neutered), and sent him to the walls to retrieve the portrait of uncle Koh, PhD in eunuchology, and proceed to tear it into pieces. *5th red flag*

"aaaaargh!!! i am 60 years old and still behave like an ape!!! broohaaahaa"

the macaque - a hairy nuisance common in penang
i hope the penang city council catch this creature soon before it starts wreaking more havoc

5 FREAKING RED FLAGS against this fler, and his statements were all only meant for one thing, and that is to incite HATE and FEAR. and where is our mr policeman?? oh, they're still investigating. what is there to investigate sherlock?!?!? you have hundreds of witnesses, and you have hundreds of journalists covering the ceramah!!!!

"...even the prime minister cannot touch me, i tell you..."

One journalist wrote about what the swine uttered, and quickly she was sent to jail under the harshest of all acts - ISA. one minute say she created racial disharmony, one minute say is to protect her from harm, one minute say just wanna interview her, one minute say wanna neutralize social threat, one minute say its the gomen's decision, one minute say the ministry knows nothing of it.........wah....make up your mind eh?

something is very very wrong with this country dont you think???

is my beloved country DOOMED???

it is confirmed at the time of print that RPK and the reporter from sinchew daily are arrested under the draconian Internal Security Act (ISA).

ok, before i proceed further. for the uninitiated, ISA is an act which allows the government to arrest and put a person which the government regards as a threat to national security. detention under this barbaric act will basically sever your ties to the outside world. you will be barred from legal counsel, simply because there there will be no trials in court. the extent of your stay in the jail is at the mercy of the Home Minister & Prime Minister.

the ISA was initially conceived as a way to combat the insurgencies of the communists many many years ago. then our ruling coalition finds this act damn useful to curb the rise of the opposition political figures. it is like a gift from the Heavens for the warlords in the coalition to 'kill' off their opponents without getting their hands dirtied.

hence, this act is a very very powerful act. and now it's been so grossly abused!!!

RPK has always been the most vocal of all anti-UMNO activists. he runs the most famous blog in malaysia, www.malaysia-today.net that exposes so much of the misdeeds of the UMNO led gomen that puts the local friendly traffic policemen to shame. mind you, malaysia-today has readers in the MILLIONS all over the world!!! it's readership base puts the-star, nst, and all other mainstream gutless media to shame.

the gomen are always finding ingenious ways to shut malaysia-today. some are utterly stupid, like going to his house and confiscating his PCs and laptops, but some are just downright brainless. like blocking the access to malaysia-today. mirror sites were quickly set-up, and malaysia-today is back in business again within hours (i think). other than violating the MSC pledge of not censoring the internet, it clearly shows how utterly stupid and delusional our policy makers are.

i dunno much about Islam, but i sure know Islam prohibits their believers to cheat, to bribe, to lie, to steal, etc....... hey, arent all these behaviors apparent in the everyday conduct of our coalition leaders? who doesnt know our politicians are corrupt? who doesnt know our politicians abuse their power for their own benefit? the last time i checked, any one of these misdeeds warrants a big big DOSA in the eyes of Islam. and UMNO wants to be the authority to talk about Islam?....nah. its like asking a group of pedophile run a childcare center themselves.

and RPK was detained today for insulting Islam and their Holy Prophet in this article.

however, RPK being detained by our useless gomen is very much anticipated. honestly, none of his loyal readers were a bit shocked to learned about his arrest. i was only surprised at the timing of the arrest. when the world is watching, while the stupid gomen makes blunder after blunder after blunder, the gomen lifted their sarong to show their wee-wee. hey, what more can i say.

now this ahmad ismail chap, arsehole of the grandest order & low life of the lowest caste. ok, he made a statement that sent ripples of fire across the nation.

but hey, wait...wait...he is not wrong you know?? we chinese are pendatangs, our ancestors did come from the mainland in search of a better life. but hey, didnt ahmad ismail's ancestors also came from india many generations ago???

now, ahmad you prick, dun you go deny that you are a mamak. mamaks are mamak, just like a hokkiens are hokkien, and kelabits are kelabit. be proud of your blood and heritage!!! mamaks are indian muslims. and arent ancestral indians in this country originated from india??? so technically, you are also a pendatang!! hey, group hug everyone!!!

but lets go deeper into this anthropology thing. it is believed that so many years ago.....humans appeared on the face of the planet (adam-and-eve or evolution? thats a different story altogether), but only at a few locations in this primitive world. then humans migrated, some moved north, some east, some west, some south......and formed civilizations and warring states and empires and dynasties and middle earth. it is this migrating pattern of humans, that has made us who and what we are. we share a common ancestor, either by adam & eve or theory of evolution, the fact is we share the same ancestors!!! we are all migrated to this land. and who are you to call us immigrants?!?!

but now comes the funny part.

1st - bastard makes the insensitive remark that gets everyone excited.
2nd - then hordes of people demand for an apology which he refuses to make.
3rd - sleeping beauty says he will ask ahmad-ismail-the-faggot not to repeat it again.
4th - C4 says sorry on ahmad-ismail-the-curr's behalf.
5th - people insist ahmad-ismail-the-maggot apologize himself which again he refuses.
6th - he warns chinese not to push it or they will retaliate. sends ripples of WTF across country.
7th - UMNO slaps ahmad-ismail-the-tapeworm on the hand and suspends him for 3 years.
8th - ahmad-ismail-the-residue-shit-on-the-toilet vows to go on a national tour to spread his philosophy of race supremacy
9th - the journalist that reported the insensitive remark is detained under ISA for reporting what ahmad-ismail-the-satan said about chinese.

if the remark that ahmad-ismail (i ran out of profanities to use against this guy) was so threatening to the national security, so threatening even the person that reported it can be arrested under ISA, why wasnt he arrested under ISA at the first place?!?!

****as i am typing this, i just learned that YB Teresa Kok has been arrested under ISA as well. for what reason is still unknown to me. ****

if Pakatan Rakyat doesnt topple the gomen soon..... i solemnly declare that i would be looking for another country to call my home.

RPK...........lets keep the fire burning!!!

".... Today, I received many phone calls from concerned friends who told me that the government is considering detaining me under the Internal Security Act ‘very soon’.

If that does happen, then this could probably be the last article I write, at least until 16 September 2008. So I too need Anwar to succeed. If not I will be in Kamunting for quite some time to come and you will not hear from me over the next couple of years.

Yes, I too have placed, not only my money, but also my freedom on Anwar. And if Anwar fails to deliver his promise on 16 September 2008, not only he but I as well am headed for a fall. But I have confidence he will do it. And I have confidence that my stay in Kamunting will not be for two years but for a mere two weeks.

But if I am WRONG…..well, then see you maybe in six or seven years time, because for sure Najib Tun Razak will not release me in 2010 when he becomes Prime Minister. What he would do, instead, would be to rollover my two-year detention another two years, and another two years, and another two years, until I am too old to think and write anymore.

Till we meet again, if we do meet again, take care and keep the flame burning.

There is still a long fight ahead of us in bringing reforms to this beloved country of ours.

agriculture study trip my ass

it takes 49 Members of Parliament (MP) to fly all the way to taiwan, to learn how to grow plants?
and so that they can debate the national budget better. ah right.

hey, wait a minute......

we have an automotive policy right?
why dont we send, say 50 MPs to germany to learn how they make cars.

and say, another 50 or so to australia to see how they market gold coast as a tourist destination.

and since they're on a rampage, i suggest we send 50 to russia to learn how they make vodka.

50 to US to see how they polish the statue of liberty.

seeing china emerged as the latest sporting nation, lets have 50 MPS fly to china to see how theyproduce world class athletes.

hey, belgium has nice flowers.
lets send 50 there as well. they might come in handy in cameron highland.

japan? yes please, lets have all the male MPs go there and learn how they shoot porn.
maybe skinner might be interested to blow up a few with his C4?

ah, how can we forget africa?
lets send the whole lot of BBC-MPs to africa to teach the apes there how to behave like apes.

lets see, the south pole!!!
some BBC-MPs dont have Datukship, no? why dont we send some to the south pole, and when they get back, they can be given datukship and nobody can dispute the award? smart?

then we have canada.
lets send 80, yeah, 80 coz its a large country to cover and our MPs might get lost. lets send 80 there to learn what is there to be learned so that we can send another 120 there to learn what was deemed worthy of learning by the initial 80.

and last but not least, lets send some of the more vocal ones, like YB bocor, YB terowong, YB son-in-law, YB keris, YB beruk, and the likes, to saiful's ass hole.
maybe they'll find it comfortable there and might decide to stay there for good, and spare us malaysians from being ridiculed by the world.

and the rest of the BN MPs? oh no, they wont be left out!! most certainly wont!!!
coz i'd suggest we send them to aghanistan for target practise.

agriculture study trip?
learn how to trim saiful's bush more believable lah!!!!
NIAMAH!!!!

carlsberg talking

"when you say the things you said to me...
did it occur to you that i would be trusting you with my life?

are you happy now?
having proved that you once meant so much to me..."

*when you are under the influence of alchohol, this is one the things that you will be contemplating about. while trying to figure out why the glass you're holding never appears empty.

BN, go fly kite lar.....

Barisan Nasional. please for the sake of your own survival.....accept the truth, face reality, and go fly kite.

the more you resist, the more damage it'll do to your ownself. say bye bye to private jets and APs and istana zakaria for a while, and accept defeat gracefully.

the people of malaysia have rejected your administration.
so now quickly take a bow and leave the stage, and use the spare time to figure out how to keep your bank accounts secret.

the people have finally realized the power of democracy lies in their hand.
and the people want to give an alternative administration a chance to run this country like the way it should be.
if this alternative administration could not fulfill their promises to make malaysia a better country...........out they go in the next GE.

try to control the dissent by blocking a website, how stupid are you, really? instead of wasting time blocking an anti-gomen blog, why dont you spend the time looking for a brain on e-bay?

najib. sorry, YAB Najib. you think swearing on a Quran cant convince us that you're free from all the allegations thrown against you ah? you have the balls to swear in the name of Allah, why dun you use half the balls to appear in court to answer the allegations without handicapping the judiciary and making people disappear?

hey sleeping beauty, wake up lar abang oooi!!! people hate you lar, people despise you lar, people no want you to be our pm lar.......dont you get it?!

MCA ah peks oooooi.......unshackle yourself and break loose lar. oh wait, a dog is nothing without it's master. go eat your shit lar. want to represent malaysian chinese konon, its already an open secret that MCA is as corrupt and utterly useless than it's partner.
again, want to represent malaysian chinese konon, dont embarass us lar MCA....go fly kite lar.

MIC......ah neh Samy!!!!! you tak tau malu punya kah?!?! lu janji itu maika share mana pigi??
lu janji itu highway boleh bagus apasal retak lagi?? lu janji bagi duit kita orang bagi konsesi bikin highway, lepas tu mau bayar gantirugi dengan duit kita orang sama dia lagi apasal??

Gerakan.....number 1 clown in malaysia Dr Koh PhD (later he angry i dun address him as PhD holder)...........penangites threw you into the sea between island and jerejak already lar. you brought so much shame to penangites, people ridicule you cukup-cukup in their AGM, summore you go and defend them. what the fug is wrong with you?! tak dak chun-doi ah??!!
BN already think you are a liability, and the people think you are a lame clown......with all the PhD lar, Masters degree lar....you should know what to do lar........go fly kite lar!!!!!!

finally, to Barisan Alternatif........
you better do this properly, no violence, no riots.
kill racism. kill corruption. kill cronyism.
you made a vow to restore dignity to us malaysians.
we gave you the support and votes that you needed.
now, make us proud to be malaysians again.

otherwise, you can go fly kite also with the BN goons come next election.

Chiang Mai - part 1

Wat Doi Suthep, the proud symbol of Chiang Mai.
it claims to house Lord Buddha's Relic within the confines of this magnificent temple. legend has it that the location of this was determined by a blessed elephant. an ancient siamese king put Lord Buddha's Relic on the back of this elephant, and set it free to wander. the elephant came to this spot, trumpeted, and died. and here Wat Doi Suthep was built.

Chiang Mai, the northern most major city of Thailand.
i was there for 5+1 days. plus 1 because i had to miss my stupid flight home.

was suppose to be going with a group of friends, but they had other priorities, or maybe its just me. what the heck, i had so much fun going alone. hahahaha.......

so, here are the photos .... in chronological order....

she shy

return tix to chiang mai, rm270 all in.
thank you air asia for making flying cheap, and *uncomfortable.

only airasia serves direct flight between KL and chiangmai, and only 1 flight per day, much to my dismay when i missed my flight home...hahaha.

airbus A320, a modern mid-range wide body bird

A320 exposing herself upon touching down

touching down in chiangmai international airport just before noon local time.
fortunately for us, we were 20 minutes ahead of schedule, coz just about when i lined up to get my passports stamped, several more flights came in, bringing several hundred people lining up at the 8 lanes immigration counter.

took a cab to my guesthouse.

the Gongkaew Huenkum Chiangmai Home

the gongkaew was my home away from home for 5 nights.
its freaking cheap, rm25/dorm bed, rm65/queen room, and rm85/queen + single bed.
its clean. its beautiful. its perfect.

actually, i gathered a lot of useful information from nicolekiss's blog prior to my visit to chiangmai. so, i strongly recommend those who want to do a bit of traveling around indo-china,
please go to her blog and read about what she has to say, since she's covered most of indo-china already.

right after i checked in myself and freshened up, i hit the streets.
chiangmai is a very easy city to navigate yourself around.
chiangmai is an ancient walled city. with a defensive wall built around the city, and a moat to keep enemies out.
part of the walls and the moat remain as signatures of chiangmai.
with the moat as the rectangular perimeter of the city, its near impossible to remain los
t inside the city.

*courtesy of nicolekiss

armed with a simple tourist map, and a good sense of bearing, you're good to go.
every tourist attraction within city walls is just walking distance away. i strongly suggest visitors to equip themselves with a really comfy pair walking shoes.
tuk-tuks or any other form of public transport is not a necessity at this point. walking is the best way to smell the roses.

a quick research on wikitravel reveals that chiangmai is home to over 300 temples!!!
which i found it impossible to doubt, since there is like a temple at every corner of a street. an
d mind you these temples are not small ok? most of the temples' history spans over hundreds of years. some have a lot of bling-blings, and some have huge-huge structures that is nothing less than jaw-dropping impressive!!!

despite my mild interest in history and structures, it is impossible to visit every temple there is in chiangmai, and trust me, your interest wanes significantly after visiting 5-6 temples......

i believe this is Wat Phra Singh

a very typical layout of the temple ground, 2 halls in perpendicular direction to each other, and a pagoda behind it.

some holy ceremony here, but i have no idea what its about. but it looks really important.

very beautiful

wat chedi luang which is one of my favorites, this is a significantly important temple for chiangmai, not only for its impressive 80+m pagoda, but also its history.

*to be continued.................Chiang Mai Night Bazaar!!!

one of my most favorite songs

Edwin McCain's I Couldn't Ask for More

Lying here with you, listening to the rain.
Smiling just to see a smile upon your face.
And these are the moments I'll remember all my life.
I found all I've waited for and I could not ask for more.
Looking in your eyes, seeing all I need.
Girl, I think you are it's everything to me.
These are the moments I know heaven must exist.
These are the moments I know all I need is this.
I have all I've waited for and I could not ask for more.

[Reff:]
I could not ask for more than this time together.
I couldn't ask for more that this time with you.
Every breath has been answered. Every dream that has come through.
Yeah, right here in this moment, it's that we're all meant to be.
(Oh) here with you, here with me.

And these are the moments I thank God that I'm alive.
And these are the moments I'll remember all my life.
I've got all I've waited for and I could not ask for more.

[Repeat Reff]

I could not ask for more than the love you gave me
cos it's all I've waited for.
And I could not ask for more.

Roaring My Way to Nuffnang Wild ‘Live’ Blogging

ok...wildlife...geez. just make sure no poachers are around the vicinity of the venue please will ya?

when nuffnang revealed the theme for the upcoming event.......i was suddenly hit with the most elaborate idea!!! dress to KILL!!! i will come up....no, i actually came up with the most elaborate costume(s) that would GUARANTEE me the xps lappy.

then reality hit me. "siao ah? where got time?"

my current workload would require me to check through at least 100 pieces of documents a day, scream at at least 5 people, kena sound by at least 5 people, write/receive at least 50 emails a day, converse at least 2 hours on the phone a day, run at least 2km in the office a day, scrutinize through financial/contract accounts in the millions, read and approve at least 10 reports a day.........etc etc......

how lah got time to make a true to size blue whale costume?...and the logistics would be absolutely crazy....need to send to KL from alor star wor!!

sigh........i am gonna disappoint so many people.

but fret not!!! give me a pass, and i shall not disappoint any of you peeps!!!!

my brain juice started flowing, albeit not much left from the day's work. i decided to come up with something, that could take advantage of what i already have most in my body! see, smart or not?

wisdom tells me i wont be able to pull off a costume like this lar......

now, apart from hair and the curly stuff which you can basically find on every square inch of my body, and luckily not on my eyes and tongue..the next most 'element' that you can find in abundance on my body is.......FATS!!!! i swear those didnt come from what i eat!!!

uh ha!! the first component of my costume is already 'ready'..now, lets see what animals share my trait...........

Patrick Teoh's take on the recent Fuel Hike

A well written article by Mr Patrick Teoh.

Advice, advice everywhere
It always happens. Haven't you noticed? Whenever there is a price increase. Of anything. Commodities. Fuel. School fees. Whatever. That is soon followed by a barrage of advice. Mostly from our politicians and most times echoed by our mainstream media boys who do sometimes get independantly creative too.

So, the price of petrol has gone up by more than 40%. Electricity tariffs are also up. And of course the price of EVERYTHING will be up soon enough. And so the advice brigade go to work.

Change your lifestyle is an ever-popular piece. We've been told to change our lifestyle so often by our government that to change some more would probably mean that we actually go live in trees and eat roots and grasses.

Here's a new one. At least I don't remember having heard it before...

"[People] need to be thrifty in their life. If they have some spare land near their house, they can start planting vegetables. For those staying in high-rise like apartments, they can use the pots or the hydroponics method". This great piece of advice was mouthed off by Mohd. Yusuf Abdul Rahman, the communications director of FOMCA.

Spare land near their houses to plant vegetables???!!! High-rise apartment dwellers to plant using hydrpponics method???!!! Where's this guy been the past 24 years? So in addition to having to work 8-10 hours a day and fight traffic commuting while burning fuel you can't afford you're expected to come home, change into your sarong and go be a farmer???!!! Anyway, any law-abiding Malaysian will tell you that soon's your vegetable patch is ready for harvest DBKL will pay you a visit, confiscate your vegetables for unlicensed farming and issue you a summons to appear in court!

And today's STAR carried a whole list of what you should do to save fuel while using your car. One of the "tips" given was that we should drive with our windows closed as open windows create wind drag which would require more burning of fuel to propel the vehicle. Well, thank you all over the place, Mr. Wong Chun Wai and your creative writers. Drive with closed windows? Wouldn't that mean that we would have to turn on air-conditioning and wouldn't that translate into using more fuel? Or are you suggesting that Malaysians drive with car windows closed and no air-conditioning? You can't be serious! Really? You try it first la.

A question that I would like to ask anyone of you out there who know is this. Didn't the government say earlier that the fuel subsidy issue was going to solved in a way that would tax the rich and help the poor? So what happened ah? I thought the bigger the car you drive the more you pay. So now the price of petrol is RM2.70 for everyone. So I am a poor working slob driving a Kancil and barely making ends meet and I pay the same price as the baarger who is chauffeured around in a 3,500cc petrol guzzling monster who vacations in the Bahamas twice a year? So okay, he doesn't get the RM625 annual rebate. Big fucking deal! That's RM1.71 a day. That won't buy me a kopi-O once the full impact of the price increases kicks in. So what happened there? Aiyah! Too complicated la to have 2 systems la. So everybody kena la. Of course some kena worse than others la. But don't demonstrate, okay? Thank you ah.

A commentor on the other post here said......start doing something about the whole situation instead of whining like babies! What good does it bring lahhh.... We all angry, mogok dont come to work, strike, then what? Got difference ar? The first thing to change is not govt but our attitudes.

Well, thank you for that piece of advice!!! You obviously are missing the point. Sure we should start doing something about it. What? Live with it? Say, okay what to do la? Thank you very much.

It is this type of attitude that needs changing.Am I angry because price of fuel has increased? Am I angry that the government no longer subsidises fuel prices? No. I am angry because of how I as a Malaysian citizen has been treated in the whole scheme of this price increase thing. Instead of giving me ample warning and advising me on proper steps and precautions to take and giving me a target date to prepare for the impending crunch they say..SURPRISE! CAUGHT YA THERE! HAHAHAHAHA...

And I am supposed to find that amusing? And what's with the fucking advice?

NIAMAH!!! NIAMAH!!! NIAMAH!!! NIAMAH!!!

MALAYSIA BOLEH ............................my head!

why are we 'burdened' with expensive fuel when we are a net exporter of crude petroleum, TOP GRADE petroleum.....?

why are we 'forced' into buying locally made cars of sub-standard quality at such a high price?

why are we 'forced' into paying for tolled highways which cause more headaches than helping solve them?

why are our highways, built with tax-payers money, maintained by tax-payers' money, earning buta toll money, still need to be compensated with tax-payers' money??

why is corruption so notoriously rampant, yet the gomen still have the face to deny it, let alone act on it?

why are gomen contracts are only 'given' to the 'privileged' few, yet they deny nepotism and cronyism exist?

why are citizens made to pay ridiculous amount of tax, yet we virtually get nothing in return?

why are there so many citizens still being denied of their citizen's rights for equal chances in this country they call home?

why are the politicians so stupid yet they still garnered controlling votes in the last GE?

why are we getting such low incomes, relative to our counterparts in other countries? ie, a design engineer in UK earns euro4,000 and she pays euro6,000 for an imported car: a design engineer earns rm3,000 in malaysia, and he pays for rm60,000 for a locally made car. where is the logic?

malaysia is made into a parody of a country, by the incompetency of the ruling party that we should have ousted in the last GE.........now we pay....dearly.

freedom....
is when i can go the distance to achieve my dreams...
is when i can do whatever i need to consolidate my career...
.....with only my conscience to answer to.
melancholy....
is when i realise when i leave office, only my 4 walls accompany me into the night...
is when i realise i have nobody to share my heart with...

prescription for a stressed-up workaholic -- TIESTO!!

yeah, my blog desperately needed updating. i know you guys have been looking at RPK's face for the past 1-2 weeks, and getting pretty bored of him.

but here's the problem. my current team is severely under-staffed. i should have at least 6 engineers to assist me in my work, and at least 10 supervisors to delegate my responsibilities to. now, my team is running at full pace with only half of the resources that should be allocated to us. until backup arrives, i will prostitute myself to my job.
my desk
all work and no play, makes sheon a dangerous man. fortunately for all, tiesto rocked away all my worries and work related concerns for the weekend, albeit temporary, but it felt awfully good.

let me just clarify first, that i am no clubbing mia kaki. i super hate going to ahbengs+ahlians filled joints, for i think those people belong to the seafood section in tesco. progressive, house, trance and dangdut means nothing to me but noise. and clubbing means nothing more than getting tipsy from overpriced drinks and checking girls out with a bunch of ham sap friends.

now, naturally the name tiesto doesnt ring any bell in my system other than getting me going, "now thats an awfully cool name to have"...... but a quick research on him tells me this dude's concert was something that i wouldnt want to miss........and oh boy, after the gig, i think i would probably have killed myself if i did!!!
two words aptly describe the concert, and whole party scene..... MULTIPLE ORGASMIC.
yes, i experienced multiple orgasms during the concert. and no, there was no sex-fest during the party, contrary to what the newspapers might have led people to believe. if there was a sex-fest, i would surely know. hahahahahaha.........
(the local newspapers are hopeless in delivering truths. here's truth for you, government controlled media SUCKS!!!)
okay...back to the party.
"2 Days of Freedom" it was called. We got our tix at rm78 and i thought i was a pretty reasonable price to pay for a international music fest. it was selling at rm113 at the party.

if this was the ticket to a sex-fest, i'd be very worried

cruising on the PD highway, after being caught in a stupid jam on the highway

our apartment beside the Corus Hotel, smells like a wet cupboard

getting ready to partaaaay the night away!!!

huge crowd, but was pretty orderly

getting prepared for the party, while waiting for tiesto to come on

as the clock struck midnight...the REAL party started.......

tiesto really knows how to work the crowd. the lightings, the pyrotechnics, the visuals, and the music, his music, aaawww....his music. he gets you moving to the beat of the build-up.....and just when you least expected it....WHAM!!! he hits you with the climax that brings euphoria to every single cell in your body. and leaving you wanting for more, every single time!! and then it goes again....and again....and again.

we were at the mercy of his music for 3 hours....
3 hours....pffffft....we could go on and on for EVER!!!!
if this is no multiple-orgasm to your senses, i dont know what is.

here's an idea for you BN, throw a tiesto concert in every state for free, i'm sure you'll manage to fish some youngster votes. hahahahaha.....losers.

my estimation puts the crowd at 15,000 strong. most people were in their most fancy beach wear. chicks in bikinis....*hi-5*!!! security was so tight, they even opened up cigarette packs at the entrance to sniff out weed and stuff. the ladies didnt get off so easily too as they got their bras frisked for......C4?

the venue was close to perfect. toilets were aplenty, and surprisingly well maintained. there was even a giant 'igloo' erected, for hot sweaty people to chill inside. beer was sold at rm12 per pop, and rm100 for a dozen.

there were actually 2 shows running simultaneously, one at each end of the venue. of course the main gig was tiesto lah. the other end was playing R&B...was more appealing to the younger crowd. we connoisseurs, go for the real deal.

the crowd was generally well behaved. everybody was just trying to have a good time, music and all. but of course i cant deny that there might be some kids under the influence of drugs. its bad, really. but do you condemn KL Pavilion and demand for it to close down if the authorities caught some kids getting their kicks in the basement parking?

ok, so some kids got so intoxicated they passed out in the open. riiiiight, so when is DBKL gonna seal off all the bars in heritage row?? what about jalan ampang?

and the allegation that the party promotes promiscuous activities?? why dont you go ban all movies, tv, internet, magazines, advertisements, commercials, goat farms....etc then?

yeah, couples might be all charged up for some loving action after the party. but hey, it's their choice, and it most certainly is not tiesto's! never during the concert, i hear ma man tiesto goes "hey kid, go fuck the chick beside you.".

why? why do they have to relate everything and every action we do, to having sex. sex. sex. and sex???
"ooooo...look at that, silky straight hair.....i'm thinking of wanting to have sex with her..."
WHAM!! advertisement showing women's hair is banned.
"ooooo...look at that couple, holding hands in the public. they are promoting casual sex...."
WHAM!! holding hands in public is condemned.
"ooooo...look at the girl's cleavage.....it's bringing out the rapist in me......"
WHAM!! every pair of titties on prints and tv are blurred.
like wtf? go be an eunuch you fucking idiots.
ok, ok. got a little carried away. hahahaha......
well, anyway. to conclude my report on the tiesto rave party......
IT SURE WAS SOME AWESOME SHIT!!!!
